muh meat lover.

last saturday the family decided to organise a barbeque party for the extended family, in celebration of yang's homecoming.

to me, barbeques are always special. when you think about the marinating process, the various types of meat cuts, complementing side dishes and staples: all the amount of time and preparation gone into organizing a barbeque could be considered exhorbitant. and the cleaning up? -don't even get me started. but that is just the 'beginning and end' aspect of it and the 'middle' is what usually makes all the blood (from the animals) and sweat worth it. barbeques are great for gatherings as everything happens so inpromptu and people get to bond over the grill or while waiting for the food.

ready to be tossed into the flames. by the way, the barbeque pineapples are divine! and the reason why they aren't any photos is because me-glut here pinched them before i could remember to grab the camera..

below: the ever-popular potato salad (wiped out within an hour); japanese cucumbers with vinegar; lettuce-and-cherry-tomatoes
