Creamier Handcrafted Ice Cream and Coffee, Toa Payoh Lorong 1

After Ice Cream Chefs, the three of us (led by Yours Truly, approved by the munchkin and the Mister was our designated driver) decided to check out other local ice cream cafes. This journey was decidedly appropriate for the weekend. Seriously, could it have been any sunnier?

A quick Google search convinced us we had to pay a visit to Creamier, which is too conveniently located next to Toa Payoh Block 127 Food Centre. I swear I will put on Freshie Five within the first week if I moved into that estate.

Like late kids to a party, the café Creamier was bustling but we were lucky enough to squeeze into a communal table. 10 minutes later, there was a snaking queue in the café and we had to put up with dirty yet envious looks as we tucked into our dessert.

The good people of the Internet chimed in on the waffles at Creamier. We took heed and order them with Butterscotch Almond and Roasted Pistachio ice creams. The Sea Salt Gula Melaka didn’t fare so well in our taste test; I thought it was pretty one-dimensional.

Yes, the waffles were pretty awesome (crispy and warm). And the ice creams were quite marvellous (creamy and dreamy).  I would love to head back but I have a feeling we have more ground to cover before pledging loyalty to Creamier.
