Edinburgh, Uk

we got off the rail at waverly station and was sorely greeted by unshaven-leg-hair-standing cold Edinburgian winds. never thought i would ever be saying this but BOY IT IS COLD UP HERE!

with mum and yang by my side, i knew we were having chinese (not again...) for lunch.. we of course had niu nan fan.. and check out the size of that! the three of us could not contain our laughter when the massive plate of rice was put in front of us. how on earth… of course we doggie-bagged the reminders..

steamed chicken feet- looks gross but tastes wonderful. ever since i was a child, i have always enjoyed chee cheong fan. in primary school, all we had were two dollaps of sweet sauce to jazz up our steamed rice flours and it tasted marvellous anyway...

chee cheong fan with king prawns.

pan fried turnip cakes are must-haves for every dim sum diner.. well those sitting on my table at least.. paper-thin crisp on the outside but moist and smooth on the inside, utterly in congruence with the saucy aroma of chinese sausages.
