this being my day off, elena and i planned something special for brunch and we headed to the nearby cafe kopka. we hoarded a table by the pavements and spent the morning watching pedastrians, embracing the lovely weather (oh i feel so english! i keep talking about the weather).. savouring these cherished moments.
the brunch menu consists of a basket of bread, yogurt with muesli, cheese, fruit.. it was such a sunny day, my second pack of butter actually melted and sploshed onto my skirt.. haha.. no worries there is always VANISH.
we then headed over to a house and garden exhibition- you don't get much more domesticated than this.. this is really on the other end of the wild exchange-student spectrum.. haha.. we were struck by how crowded and big the event was.. it was more of an outdoor fair and the entire set-up was extremely bee-you-tea-full. i think my mum and sister would have loved it..
there were vendors selling gourmet food products from wine to chocolate and honey.. uber-feminine interior design items.. flowers and gardening tools.. even little trinkets, acessories and clothing. i felt like fedex-ing the entire event back to singapore. though our trip was momentarily marred by light rain, the house and garden fair was still a marvellous experience.
i will let the pictures do the talking..
i am really exhausted now. it has just been either work eight hours a day or spending time with friends or work again.. i took an hour and half nap and woke up looking 'destroyed,' according to elena.. early night needed!
toodles.
