success on the second try.
pretty pretty proud of myself today for i whipped up a 10-minute that actually tasted g.r.e.a.t!
this was my second attempt at cooking for myself, with the first- spagetti with canned, not bottled, tomato sauce with brocoli and ham, tasting worse than prison food.. not that i have tried prison food... anyway tonight, i did pasta -again- but this time round, i had with me a can of mackeral in tomato sauce, which i presumed tasted like sardines, and a packet sliced krafts-style cheese.
so i boiled the pasta, de-canned the mackeral and popped them into the microwave for like tem minutes though they were done in two!.. lay the sliced cheese in the mackeral and microwaved the duo, before mixing in the pasta. ok fine, not much technique needed huh.. i didn't take nay pictures of it since it would make you lose your appetite but i was surprised by the difference the cheese made. a lathering of rich, creamy texture, i was extremely satisfied by the outcome though i know three more bites would have made it gelat.. so i am recommending it to carbonara- lovers- its a much healthier alternative.
i heart microwave.
