i was still reeling from the sugar overdose when kiku called me to tell me that birget and anna were preparing lasagne for dinner. honestly, i wasn't in the hungriest of moods but i joined in the gathering anyway.

frozen lasagne, like frozen pizza, is readily available in most supermarkets. it no longer calls for excessive work, not when all you need to do is to pop it into the oven and turn the oven knob. thus when someone prepares them from scratch, the effort is well-appreciated, not to mention gratifying.

us hanging around, waiting for his royal cheesiness

the verdict was unanimous. the layers of pasta, wound around the tomato-sauced beef the tight embrace, captured the flavour and aroma of homemade goodness and the melted mozarella cheese topping brought us one step closer to heaven.

comfort food made for the masses.
