had work again! yay for readers~



at the restaurant, we usually serve chocolate cake for dessert.. exercising my well-deserved employee right's, i helped myself to a generous more-mousse-less-spongey slice of chocolate maddness! hmm, i do prefer if it were a little cake-kier..



mango, green tea and red bean ice cream.. nice to meet you.. this was an order by mistake.. customer lost= my gain.. oh how i sorely miss the taste of red brean and green tea....


now we are talking. at around quarter to ten, the chef told me to prepare ebi tempuras and my nostrils flared slightly at the thought of someone ordering an entree when we were about to close.. but to my instant delight, the tempuras were used for the sushi platter for us (*cough* employee benefits)!!! unfortunately, i am not familar with the names of these sushi.. i can only identify the key ingredient.. but we had ebi tempura, spicy salmon, crab mayo, tamago (omelette)... ARGHHHH i love working here..

one of the waitresses and xin, my mentor.. an impish 22 year old who runs the kitchen.. she cooks a mean spicy grilled fish head! though i usually refrain from the tedious task of drawing out the flesh, i found myself engagd in an uninterruptive motion of picking through the bony bits, digging out the good stuff spitting out the tiny bones.
