team dynamics in place: birget first applied homemade honey (extracted from the beehives back at home in germany) to the slices of bread and i took over and peanut-buttered it.. passing it to steffi who topped the bread with bananas (sliced by kiku).. before popping it into the oven for ten minutes.
an assembly line that mr henry ford himself would have been proud of.
apart from the peanut butter slices, elena toasted some bread rolls which we relished by sandwiching it with chocolate slices that premeditatedly melted into the hot toasted buns. delice!
the presence of sunny day helped combat the overeating and sugar rushing through my blood veins. andi and i took a walk to the park, where we circled starting-to-green shrubs and defrosted ponds that were very much welcomed by the ducks. beautiful.
we took advantage of the great weather by walking to another estate and i was so taken by the potted flowers at a florist. got to have got to have... although my mum religiously visits the florist wholesalers back in singapore, i have never bought any for myself but this is one habit i could definitely adopt.
this being the first sunday of the month, the frederisksberg mall was open and we walked about aimlessly, getting stuff for dinner. then we realised it had been two hours since we left our hall and decided to head back in that direction. IN THAT DIRECTION. more like in the direction of paradis ice cream cafe.. haha.. hey, it was ON THE WAY home..
wow! there was actually a queue forming outside probably-my-favourite-place-in-copenhagen.. i shouldn't be surprised actually.. they serve good gelato and this was a sunday after all.. we had the orange sobert and ferrero rocher.. *whistles.. they orange was oh-so-good and the rocher though tasty, needed a little more cocoa-kick.. i prefer the one back in singapore at estivo gelateria where the rocher is without a doubt scrummilicious..
i couldn't resist snapping pictures of kids who stood amazed by the display of gelato.. a captivated look of desire, replaced almost instantaneously with one of plea to their parents.. kids these days... really know how to work the sappy look. haha..
