jap.
for a fuss-free lunch, mum and i headed over to kai ho japanese restaurant at international plaza level 2.
where we ordered two udon sets (which came with an ala carte dish of your choice and chawanmushi)- and we boiled it down to seafood and vegetable tempura and yakiniku beef.
unlike other japanese eateries, the udon here is slimmer than usual- quite a refreshing change and i liked the soup so much, i drank up mum's portion as well... as for the ala cartes, the tempura batter was daintily light, lending a periheral kick to the already-crunchy prawns whilst the yakiniku was a saucy complement to the subtly sweet nature of the udon. though the chawanmushi was a pass-over, there was much appreciation over the fineries of the other dishes.
