Bintan 2019 - Part 2

Hello hello, I'm back with Part 2 on what we ate at the resort. It's nothing too fancy but staying at a resort meant we had all our meals on site. We could have ventured out but we were too darn lazy and not feeling particularly adventurous.

Breakfast was covered at the main restaurant, The Dining Room. I didn't take any pictures of the food (ha, such a different blogger these days) but there was a very decent set-up of local and western options. I had the most amazing egg white omelette with at least 3 different types of sambal. I do wish their juices tasted less like they came out of a box.

All dressed up for dinner x

We spent one dinner at Rica Rica, which specialises in Indonesian food. I have to say, Indonesian food agrees with me. The spices, the condiments, the sambal! Everything tasted so flavourful. Before our meal, they served keropok and rice crackers with dips on the side. Yay! Must-orders at Rica Rica include the satay and mie goreng.

Other than those meals, we -ahem- had room service otherwise. Look away, true foodies!

Every time we ask the boys whether they prefer to eat outside or “back in our room” - the latter is a clear winner. Haha ... To be honest, it’s easier for us parents too. We are such homebodies. The boys absolutely love room service - I think it makes them feel like we are “home,” and not just another hotel.

We had such a lovely time - I just need to remind Russell that not all villas come with a private pool 😂😂😂
