wow this feels like a week long mardi gras celebration without the ott feather boas, skimpy over-sequinned costumes and greasy-oiled jingle-all-the way bodies. ok, fine this is more stepford than mardi gras!

i am overwhelmed with relief that the dishes were well-received and well, i couldn't ask for a more appreciative reception.. planning dinner can be such fun and now i can't hardly wait for nadia's italian night on tuesaday!
of course, the second best thing sbout birthday parties is the presents.. let me ripppp them... now now, there is no need to sound like the basilisk from harry potter.. charl gave me a beautiful vintage scarf from london and fabric purse and her birthday card was a tear-jerker in the making.. although i was shameless enough to HINT to denessa what i wanted, it was her birthday card that cracked me up.. "because you're worth it" screamed the captions
arh, these girls (and of course, you CHEN!) have shown me what i have missing out on in singapore while i was away. i think as i age, i become more of a closet sentimentalist. it is like when you look back and think of how far you and your friends have come, you cannot help but wish the kleenex was just a reach away. how EMO NEMO can i get. sigh
wai brought over the dvd 'entourage' which debuts this saturday and we caught it after dinner. we were suppose to catch it pre-dinner but we just ended up yakking about old school gossip.. haha.. the serieswas pretty interesting but worrying in a way because you realise some guys are just plain superficial and might NEVER grow out of their 'hot legs and hot ass' mode.. and asking them to do so.. well i think getting your pet to sing the national anthem backwards is more likely to happen. heh heh..
anyway girls and chen, thank you for being part of my birthday celebrations.
