haha.. baby talk aside, it is also a day where we celebrate all things NEW. new clothes. new delights. new white elephants that embrace a day's worth of natural light before getting sent back into the closet- ouch.
but cmon we all know that's the fate of party dresses~ .. how many times have you worn your prom dress? or harboured the thought of abusing your feet with those four inch heels that looked better ON a display cabinet than on your feet? then again, it is the lavish thought of having your skin carressed by beautifully crafted silk and satin that drives too many of us loco.

i know i shouldn't have but i did it anyway. a week before the exams and i treated myself to two new books by blue-eye author of the moment: peter mayle.
sigh the only books i should be reading now should have the words 'mcgraw-hill publishing' printed on their spines .. but i c-a-n-n-o-t wait to get started on mayle-lit.
'french lessons'- a travel narrative throughout france and 'acquired tastes'- a novel on the appreciation of the finer trinkets and gastro- experiences in life. compelling!
