Good riddance, Monday

I have had better Mondays. Mondays that weren't filled with so much negativity and uncertainty. That said, it's done and dusted, and I would rather think of it as paying my dues for a fantastic weekend.

Kicking off the weekend with my favourite sweet treats at Canele.

Thought we almost couldn't make it for our usual Friday dinner at Shin Kushiya - and was glad to be wrong about something for once.

Our place - all banged and knocked up.

Because everything tastes better when served in Japanese dinnerware.

Someday I'm going to borrow his watch.

Double-fried salmon skin - the trick to keeping it all in is to tip the plastic container over, while holding the plate.

And we were really lucky not to have been affected by flash floods, despite spending a good deal of time in town.
