*Back to our December trip to Bangkok!*
Although I had marked out a bunch to eateries to hit, shopping definitely came first and food became more of a pitstop for refuel. This meal at Siam Paragon's food court took place hot on the heels of yet another shopped-till-almost-dropped morning.
This rice noodle roll was a soon kueh disguised as a chee cheong fun. You could add sweet sauce, chili and fried garlic for some frill but the roll on its own was pretty yummy.
I made the most out of my 5-minute wait and came back with not one, not two but three dishes Isaan dishes!
First up, a classic som tam (papaya salad).
I asked for "grilled pork neck" and received this plate of nam tok moo (spicy grilled pork neck salad). Tangy, spicy and slightly chewy, to discover this spoke volumes of what a good day it was.
Fresh out of the fryer, the fried chicken wings (fried chicken wings) were delicious though the batter was a little thick.
Super sweet, milky and aromatic, the cha yen (iced milk tea) could have easily passed off for dessert.
