We were recently blessed with a bundle of joy - not, not the baby but a pack of Loong Nam tar sau piahs from my sister who had just visited Penang.
Superficially speaking, it is a cute noob with paper-thin, flaky skin, finished off with a caramel-brown glaze; inside contains a dusty, powdery savory filling, dotted with fragrant fried shallots.
Gone in 60 seconds.
